Text Entry box delays on slides with a voice over

Hi,

I have been struggling with an issue when I’m doing my text entry boxes, I have voiceovers on my videos now when they users inputs the word correctly there is a big delay from one slide to the other.. I believe it’s because of the voice over, could this be the reason why? And if so how do I stop the delay once the user has inputted the correct wording?

Thank you,

Meghan

Have a look at the Timeline, or better, post a screenshot of the Timeline so that I can explain exactly for your situation what happens.

I assume that the voice over is used as slide audio, which resulted in an increase in the duration of the slide timeline.

If your TEB is on the slide from the start, it will probably have a pausing point at 1.5secs (which is the default). Such a pausing point is pausing the playhead but doesn't pause slide audio. That means that when the learner confirms the Entry in the TEB, and you have kept the default action(s) at 'Continue', that the whole inactive part of the TEB needs to be crossed before getting to the next slide.

    Two possible solutions:

    1.  Move the pausing point towards the end of the slide timeline to shorten the inactive part.
    2. Change the default actions from 'Continue' to 'Go to Next Slide'.

    Hi,

Thank you for replying so quickly! I moved the pausing point towards the end and this has made the delay alot shorter than what it was!

    Thank you!!
