Text Entry Boxes Submit Buttons

Hi.  I am using Captivate 4 and I put in some TEB's.  I have used TEB's before with no problems.  The problem I am facing today is that the "submit" button, when pressed is doing nothing.  It is set to continue, but when you click on it nothing happens (it doesnt even make a click sound)  any suggestions of what I did wrong?

I am using it to have the student enter a name.  I am not trying to validate it by entering a specific name, just a general name of someone they know........

Thanks for your help!

    Hello,

Is the keyboard shortcut working? If you did not change it, normally it is Enter.

    Hi

Thanks for responding.  I fixed that part of it by switching on success to "go to next page" instead of "continue" and that seemed to work.

My other problem is that I am using those text boxes as a v_name variable.  I would like the student to enter a name of a friend that reminds them of a certain personality style.  I used the advanced tab and made an action called V_Nametwo.  I then would like to link it to the question slide at the end and ask the student why did you say V_Nametwo was ____ personality style.

I wanted two of these, V_Nametwo and V_namethree for two separate personality styles.

My problem is, on the question slide, only V_Namethree variable works and I don't understand why?  Would you have any idea?  Is there a limit on how many V_Names you can use?  Can you not use a V_Name on a question slide?  Did I name them wrong?

Thanks for any help our suggestions.

    Hello,

Not sure if I understand your question very well. I have the impression that you mix up Actions and Variables. Just tried this in CP:

    1. created a first variable v_One
    2. created a second variable v_Two
    3. asked (in two TEB's) the value to be entered in v_One and v_Two
    4. inserted a Question slide and in the sentence of this Question slide I could insert both v_One and v_Two.

You see that I did not create any Advanced Action in this case.

Sorry if this is not what you wanted to do.
