Hello,

Is it possible for a text entry box to display a variable value? This doesn't have to be on first appearance (as I think isn't possible), but from ad advanced action (triggered by a button click). If so, can anybody tell me how please?

Not out of the box. Why do you want this? Did you consider to use a Scrolling Text interaction to replace the TEB?

The extern widget CpExtra from InfoSemantics allows to show the value of a variable in the TEB, you can have a look:

Hi. I will be uploading this value to captivate prime (which can hold the value of variables if you leave the module, then re-enter at a later date). The idea is that I want the learner to be able to see what they originally input in the TEBs, and edit if they wish. So the idea is to hold the value of what the learner first input into the TEBs, and when they re-visit later, display the value of the stored variables back into these same TEBs via an enter frame function.

Have a look at that widget, or consider the Scrolling Text interaction. I use it a lot.
