text-to-speech - how to slow down narration or add pauses

HI. I'd like to know if it's possible to slow down the text-to-speech narration/agent or how to add pauses to the narration itself.

It is possible. Here is a tutorial on Text to Speech used in Adobe Captivate. This video was recorded in a much earlier version of Adobe Captivate but the process is the same (very little has changed since then).
