Hi there, I want to translate English eLearnings into Spanish and other languaes.

From what I can see Captivate has the built in options of English, French (Chloe) and Yumi (at least i think this is chinese??).

Is there any way to download, purchase other languages such as spanish?  Or a recommended workflow using another translation application that fits in well with Adobe Captivate?

If you are using a Windows machine you can add additional text to speech languages.

  • Click the Start button and type in Language Settings
  • Select Language Settings
  • Click on Add a language
  • Type in the language you wish to add
  • Look for a version that includes the icon for Text-to-Speech and select it
  • Install the Text-to-Speech option and press Install
  • Wait for the language to be installed
  • Restart or start Adobe Captivate.
  • Click on the Window dropdown menu and select Slide Notes
  • Click on the icon for Text to Speech and you should be able to select the new language from the Speech Agent drop-down menu (I tested this with Mexican Spanish and now have a new voice for Sabina).
