Text-to-speech on different layers on the timeline?

Hi all,

When you convert slide notes into Text-to-speech, it all accumulates into one sound file output within the time line.  Is there a way to generate the TTS on different layers within the timeline?  I am wanting to assign audio to a click box, but to achieve this I need the generated TTS on different layers in the timeline.

Thanks.

Hey guys, thanks for your replies.

Shortly after I made the post I realised a workaround.  If you generate the TTS it remains within the library for good.  You can then delete this from the timeline and slide notes, but the audio file will remain in the library.  Then you just add in a new bit of TTS in the slide notes, deleting from the timeline, etc. and repeat this process until you have all the different TTS within the library.  I then assigned them to buttons using the audio from the library.  Hopefully this helps anyone who may find themselves here in the future.  This way for achieving a feature where the audio plays when a button is clicked.  Hopefully that makes sense.

Just want to warn you: some devices don't allow to have multiple audio clips playing at the same time.

The audio you generate will be available in the Library. You can assign to any object from there.

You may need to set up a separate (HIDDEN) slide that you use to generate these extra audio clips.  As Sreekanth mentions, once you've created them via TTS then they are in the Library and can then be used to add audio to other objects on the timeline.  You can only have one audio clip per slide.  But on that same slide you can have any number of other objects that have audio attached, or you can use Interactive objects such as buttons to trigger audio clips to play.
