Text variable wrap to caption box

Hi I've a quick question about text variables.

If I create a text caption to display text stored in a variable, providing it's set to display the right amount of characters will the text wrap to the size of the text box I insert into  captivate?

For example if I had a text caption box set to 500 x 100 would the text all appear on one line or would it fit within the size I'd set the the text caption box?

Yes, text will wrap. But number of characters in each variable is limited to 255.

Actually I've just done a test in both Captivate 8 and 9, and when inserting a user variable, the highest number of characters I can now get to display in a Smart Shape or caption is 150.

This seems to have been reduced.  In earlier versions I'm certain we used to be able to display around 250 or so.

It used to be 256 (8-bit). Just checked and you are correct. Scrolling text interaction accepts more characters, but the variable cuts off at about 150.
