Question

Textures

We want to place our branding in the textures area of our projects.

We've had some luck in doing this however CP5 places the new texture at the bottom of the list of textures preloaded in CP 5.  We have tried deleting the preloaded textures from CP5's textures folder in the directory but they are still listed even though they aren't present in the folder.  Any ideas on how to get rid of these from the list?

Thank you,

Susan

    Hi Susan

Did you restart Captivate after deleting the textures? I know in older versions that was necessary in order to see things appear on the list as when Captivate started up it would add elements such as these to lists.

    Cheers... Rick

    Hello,

To add to Rick's excellent advice, sometimes it is necessary to delete the Preferences of Captivate. I do know this is the case if you are reordering Effects in customized folders, so perhaps this is also the case for Textures. But be cautious: I did not try it out, because deleting the Preferences will delete everything I have adapted to my wishes.

Changing things in Preferences sounds scary to me too but I'm new so I don't have much to lose.  I'll give this a try.

    Thank you,

    Susan
