The blue line for closed captioning will not disappear.

I can not get the blue line for closed captioning to disappear in Captivate 9. I have disabled the function so it should be gone. I do not want the closed caption function.

Please, could you post a screenshot showing that 'blue line'? If CC is not enabled, normally you shouldn't see anything at all. I suspect you are talking about the background of CC that appears over the slide? Its color is set in the CC options.

It may be, though when I start projects it usually isn't there. I had closed captioning turned on in this project initially,  then disabled it as we changed routes.

That is very weird! Did you check the master slides to see if that line is not on a master slide?

There is not even a possibility in the CC Project settings to have such a line, you can only change the background of the CC box.
