The "empty" mouse icon disappeared in Cp9?

In Captivate 8 there was a "blank" cursor option for the mouse if you wanted it there for the next slide, but not visible on that slide. This seems to have disappeared in Cp9. Anybody know where it's at, or do I need to create my own "blank" .cur file and go from there?

Thanks in advance!

I figured it out. Indeed, create a blank .cur file and go from there.

There IS actually a legitimate reason for this. The time that I would need it is after an action slide where there is scrolling. The mouse for some reason on the next slide always comes down from the upper LH corner. It just doesn't make sense to have the mouse in the middle of the screen for the scroll, and then suddenly pop out from the corner on the next slide. Otherwise, yes, I do turn it off!

LOL, I wasn't suggesting there wasn't a legitimate reason for it. I was only stating that I've never seen it or had a reason or need to use it myself.

I seemed to recall that in earlier versions of Captivate, after one had recorded an activity where a click and drag occurred, it resulted in a full motion capture for that slide only. And I further seemed to recall that on the slide following the video slide, the mouse may have indeed started moving from the upper left corner. But I just tested moments ago (I'm using version 8) and things seemed pretty normal. The mouse stayed put.

Like anything, I do suppose your mileage may vary!

Cheers.. Rick

Interesting. I've used Captivate for many years and I had to go look as I'd never heard of a "blank" cursor you could select. While I'm sure a totally transparent Cur file would do the job, I find myself scratching my head and wondering why it would be needed?

Why aren't you simply turning off the mouse for the slide where you don't wish to see it?
