Question

The magically appearing 'Submit' button!

In a separate and recent post I was after assistance to try and make the default quiz slides in Captivate 9 accessible (in reality for assistive technology users). Brett Helm came to the rescue and provided the key stroke sequence to navigate a multiple choice quiz slide. Sadly, even with the navigation steps, it proved too difficult for our assistive technology reliant users.

I have now resorted to making my own quiz slides and went on my first trip into using 'Advanced Actions'. I haven't had it tested yet however I am feeling confident except for one small thing; a 'Submit' button appears on the slide where the question is even though I have not created the button and I am not using a 'Captivate quiz slide'. This only happens in 'Preview Project' and when it's published; interestingly the 'Submit' button does not appear when previewed in Adobe Edge Inspect.

Has anyone any thoughts on why a 'Submit' button might appear for no apparent reason. Help!!!!!

That button must be somewhere. You can check:

    • used master slide
    • previous slides: is there somewhere a button timed for the rest of the project

Thank you for your response to my problem. Alas, I had checked all I could think of, which included your suggestions, with no luck. Fortunately it only contained 3 slides as it was purely for testing if we could make an alternate quiz slide accessible. I remade the  slides from scratch testing in 'preview project' every time I added a new element. The magical submit button did not make an appearance in the second version. It will just remain as one of those mysteries.
