The Softwaresimulation does not work

Hi you all, I installed the new Captivate and I am exited, how clean and nice it looks. I am a teacher for tech and I mostly want to use Captive for Programmtraining. But the Simulation does not record my mouseclicks. I looked in Option and I clicked make a field by every mouse click, but it does not work. At the end I always only have one slide. When I open Captivate new and start a new Projekt, it records like two or three mouseclicks and then nothing.
I work with a Surface Studio that has a high resolution monitor. In the last version I had to make the monitor with smaller pixels. I tried that and here also the mouseclicks do not record. Any ideas?
Thank you very much. 🙂

No, I never hear a camera shutter sound for a mouseclick, only in the end when I press "end" at the keyboard.

Honestly, I had so many problems with the software simulation in the new version 12, that I keep using it in version 11.5.5.553 which doesn't cause me any issues.

Ohhh and I tried it in Demo (I know it does not make click boxes there) in training and in assement. Captivate does not want to make me the click boxes. 🤷

Do you run Captivate with 'Run as Administrator' checked? There are already two releases for the new version, can you check the exact version number under Help, About Captivate?

In Demo mode you should never have click boxes, but it is weird that you have only one slide. Do you hear the camera shutter sound? In Assessment and Training click boxes and eventually Text Entry Boxes should be inserted.
