Timeline numbers disappearing

Why do the numbers indicating the minutes and seconds in the timeline frequently disappear? This is very frustrating because while the numbers are not being shown, I cannot click the desired time point in order to move the scrubber to that position in the timeline. This must be a bug right? Is anyone quality controlling this software?

Which version do you use? I did see this problem described a couple of times on the forum, but didn't experience it neither in the latest version of 9 nor in 2017.

Did you try to reset the workspace? Can you clear the Preferences? Run the file appropriate for your OS which you can find in the subfolder 'Utils' under the installation folder.

Not sure yet about whether it is present in Cp 2017 but it happens to me all the time in Cp9 as well, but usually only on fairly longish slides of more than a minute in duration.

To get the timeline numbers back, I usually just grab the scroll bar at the bottom of the slide timeline and jiggle it back and forth slightly.

Captivate 2017 is the one I am using. Version 10.0.0.192.

Wiggling the scroll bar seems to do the trick though, thanks!
