Hi everyone!

I'm trying to make a timer on my quiz that when the time's up it will jump to a failure slide.

I've tried the timer included on captivate, tried the following posts

http://forums.adobe.com/message/3772645#3772645

and

http://lilybiri.posterous.com/timer-widget-to-stress-your-learners

but the only thing that appens is that the time counts but it doesn't make the jump.

Can anybody help?

It's a work project so i won't be abble to share the project...

Which version are you using?  In version 7 there are 3 widgets/interactions that are time-based. I'm also puzzled because you point to a blog post on the dead Posterous site, that link is broken since almost one year! New link is:

I suppose you didn't try that one out? Or do I miss something?

The timer widget was not able to trigger an jump to action, as I explained in that blog post.

Since a while there are two interactions: Digital Timer and Hourglass that can trigger a Jump action. Did you try those?

You must have some bugs, have tried out the digital timer extensively (did present about interactions at DevLearn in October). For very precise timing there are some problems:

  1. Timer will not start immediately counting down, especially on a first slide of a file.
  2. When time is elapsed, a feedback appears for 2 seconds before the jump is happening.
