timing issues with HTML5 video on iOS in Captivate 6.0.1

I am having two issues with HTML5 video within my Captivate 6.0.1 movies.

These issues do not exist when I publish to Flash and use RTMP deliver from our Flash Streaming Server.

Each slide contains either video or an interactive question. My original video has the answers that follow right after the question is talked about. Between those two in the video “edit Video Timing”, I go to the next slide which is the interactive question itself. The video is being pulled using progressive download from the VOD directory of a Flash Media Server setup using an Apache server.

The first time through on iOS, the answer is given on the first question before the user can select their answer. It will often repeat part of the text after the user goes on after answering the question. The rest of the questions are fine. The next time through, all questions work fine.

Another issue on iOS is that the timing gets off and causes the video to start playing over again when it gets to the end of the movie. It will play anywhere from a few seconds to close to a minute, depending on if you watched straight through or stopped and started. (It can be stopped or closed at any time.)

    Hi there,

    Welcome to Adobe Community.

I would like to inform you that the Streaming Video through RTMP is not supported in HTML 5 and it is documented as well.

    Please check this document.

    Thanks!

Thank you for your reply. I am using HTTP Progressive Download from an Apache server for the HTML 5 delivery.
