Timing of Clickbox Captions in Captivate 12.4

I have several Captivate Simulations and we have turned on captions for success/try again messaging for the Click Box. Some slides only flash the correct message then it moves to the next slide. Others will display correct message for a few seconds then proceed. What is controlling the timing of the messaging for the captions. I have looked and I am not seeing anything that is clear to me. Thanks for the help.
