Timing Video with Animations

I'm using Captivate 9 on my Macbook. I have some videos and voice recordings that I want to play automatically, as well as text that I want to appear at certain times during these videos/recordings. How can I do that? I have been trying for a long time and am starting to get frustrated. Is this not possible?
