Hi

I asked yesterday how I could toggle the TOC using a customised button on a slide. The answer I got was to use the toggle and variable cpCmndTOCvisible but it is much more involved than that.

Can someone just outline all the steps to make this work.

thank you

I posted a link to a blog post, explaining different scenarios, for another

system var, but work flow is identical.

Its not very clear and makes it difficult to try to translate from audio eg

what to replace for cmndMute and do you need 2 buttons for TOC on and off

Can you just quickly provide a shortened version specific to TOC

If you're committed to learning how to use Advanced Actions then it might be worth your while to look into this e-book:

    http://www.infosemantics.com.au/adobe-captivate-advanced-actions

It has a special chapter about how to create and use Toggles in Captivate with over a dozen pages of detailed instructions and screenshots, as well as exercise files for Cp version 5 - 7 so that you can see how it's done in the actual file.

A couple of the examples in the book show how to toggle the visibility of the playbar, which is very similar to doing the same thing for the TOC.
