Total Newbie - Animations from Powerpoint 2013 will not show up in Captivate 9

Hi everyone and Happy Friday!  I'm one week into learning how to use Captivate 9 and I've spent most of the day trying to figure out how to move animations from three slides over to the Captivate 9 environment.  The slides look great in Captivate but will not come in in an animated way.  If it makes any difference, the slides that are giving me trouble all are using SmartArt.  I'm about to pull my hair out, any help is greatly appreciated!

    Make sure you are using PPTX format files and that you check off High Fidelity to ensure you get a full import with all effects. Hopefully, soon you will be so good at designing in Captivate you won't need the PowerPoints anymore.
