Transitioning from a Zoom Destination

As a new user... using Captivate for software recordings (demos, not interactive pieces)... I'm trying to figure out how to transition from a Zoom Destination while leaving up the background slide image. I don't see a way to remove the enlarged Zoom Destination after X seconds, before the next slide appears.

What am I missing?

No, sorry. Just wanted to warn you not to use the old Zoom object because it offers little control and the default zoomed image has low quality. You can use the effect Scale to, eventually with an effect to change Alpha. Effects offer much more control.

If you only want a demo, why do you not use the Video demo? It has a nice editor, where you can add zoom/pan with much better quality than the zoom object on software simulation in Demonstration mode.

I would use Camtasia if that's all I wanted. I've used Camtasia a lot, and it works great if you literally just want to capture exactly what happens on screen. But either way you get irregularities in cursor motion, position, and timing -- with no ability to edit those. The slide approach in Captivate smooths the cursor path very nicely (I'm doing marketing demos, not instructional pieces), and lets me slow it down if I moved it a bit too fast when recording.

I'm afraid that your answer indicates there's no way to nicely fade out on the Zoom Destination before going to the next slide. Which probably means I can't really use it. Too bad.
