Transitions and Random Questions

I'm trying to make every question come in from the side (fly) but only the
title slide and the results slide are working. I know I had this working
earlier, but I'm thinking that might be because the questions were not
random.

Is it not possible to use transitions with random question slides? I'm
using Captivate 3.

Thanks,
Nancy

Yes, you do. The transition box is actually greyed out in the Random
Questions dialogue. And that is what I was doing. I have had an Adobe
person now confirm that transitions when using Random Questions is broken in
    Captivate 3. Bummer.

    Thanks,
    Nancy

    Hi Nancy

I had a couple of thoughts that may or may not help.

    Perhaps try the following.

    1. Maybe insert a blank slide just before the Random Question. Apply the transition to that and maybe the illusion will be the transition is actually occurring with the Question slide. Not sure if that would work, but might be worth experimenting with.

    2. You might try creating a blank Captivate project containing only a single Blank slide. Apply the transition to that, then remove borders and preloaders so all you end up with is a basic slide with a transition. Then create a .SWF from that and drop it into the Question slide as an animation. If that worked, you could re-use the same animation over and over on your Question slides.

    Cheers... Rick

    Hi Nancy

I believe you have to apply the transition at the question level as the Random placeholder doesn't seem to offer a way to set the transition.

This thread sounds an awful lot like one that was posted yesterday. It may be read by clicking here.
