Hi Captivate friends.

Can I confirm that once I have the licenced version of Captivate 2017, I will just need to save my trial version .cptx files and they will be good to go, free of any expiry date.

I appreciate your continued support.

Cheers

Russell

Yes, you only need to re-export. That's all.

Moderator: You never 'export' a Captivate file, you do publish it from a raw file, either to a HTML5 or a SWF output. Sorry, but export is very different: you can export notes to xml, or to word, you can export styles, preferences etc.

Edit> Following the comments from the Moderator... Let me just correct my words:

Is not re-export, what I mean is re-publish or "Publish" the file again.

As long as you have the Original Captivate files, you can publish your captivate again with a licence or a trial version.

I have Captivate files from older employees, so When I need to apply changes, I just have to open those files and publish them with my account.

Yes, but be aware of the fact that published courses also will expire. To keep them, you have to republish with a licensed version.
