Trigger action at set time or when audio completes?

Is it possible in some way shape or form to trigger an action at a certain time or when some audio completes? This is a built in function in Articulate Storyline so I'm wondering if the Adobe wizards have figured this out.

I'm looking to adjust a variable when the voiceover completes that basically says the slide is complete. I know how to do this with buttons and On Exit but even On Exit doesn't work correctly since the user can exit the slide without finishing the audio.

You'd probably need to build or buy a widget.  There used to be a widget that could be used to execute time-based actions.  It's listed on this page:

However, I don't know if there's a version compatible with current Captivate version 7.  You'd need to enquire of the developer Jim Leichliter.

Also, since this is an SWF widget it would not be compatible with HTML5.

So what would be the non default method?

Oh snap! I think that just might be it. The time based widget that is. I'll have to give it a try tomorrow.

Captivate doesn't provide this functionality by default.  As you have discovered, Captivate interactivity is event-based.  There are no built-in events triggered by completing playback of a sound file or completion of an object's time on the timeline.
