Triggering Opening of Third Party App

I am currently developing an online course in Captivate that will be viewed solely on tablets and I would like to have Captivate trigger opening a third party app in the middle of the course, specifically Google Goggles. The learners will use Google Goggles to 'explore' products for information, then return to the course to answer questions.

Does anyone know of a script or advanced action that will trigger opening a third party app on an Android (or Apple) device? It can't be a flash widget because it is on a mobile device.

If this can be done, has anyone successfully done this before? !

Typically, an application can be launched by a customized URL documented in the API of the app.

You may want to investigate Google Goggles a bit further though, this Wikipedia post had the following addendum:

In a May 2014 update to Google Mobile for iOS, the Google Goggles feature was removed due to being "of no clear use to too many people."[5]

You might want to look at a QR code to open a customized web page.
