Trimming a slide - Captivate 8

Hello

I am very new to Captivate. And I am using Captivate 8. I have a basic question regarding trimming few portion from a slide of my project. My project is creating video for a software simulation. (I searched an answer for this, but all the answers are referring to Captivate 6 or earlier versions. The solutions mentioned in those are not valid in Captivate 8 as the UI itself is different and I am not able to find many of the options (like FMR edit and all) .)

The  problem is, even though I can play a slide and control it using the Timeline view, I am not seeing an option to edit/trim it. In my particular case, I want to delete a portion which appears towards the end of the slide. Could some one please guide me regarding this

UI change was meant to make it easier

First question: are you talking about a Video demo project (extension of file is cpvc) or a normal cptx project?

Mine is a normal cptx project.

OK. In that cptx-project are you talking about FMR slides? They are still recognizable at a camera icon in the Filmstrip, and a red line in the center of the slide timeline in the Timeline panel. The edit options are under the tab Options:

Personally I try to avoid FMR-slides, and replace them by CPVC slides because the quality is much better and those cpvc (Video Demo) videos have a dedicated Video editor with a lot more options than the simple old FMR-slides. It is more work, you have to stop the software simulation capture, to create the video demo slide, it is not automatic.
