Trouble Importing Audio Files

Hi,

I'm kinda new to captivate, but I'm getting the hang of it (it's pretty self explanatory).  Anywhoo, I have been trying to import audio into some slides and it is not recognizing it at all.  When I choose "import", choose a file and hit "ok, I get no reaction.  Not an error message or loading bars, nothing.  This happens when I use any sounds that did not come with captivate.  So I don't know if I'm formatting my audio files wrong or what.  The audio files are being recorded from a mic as 24-bit WAV format.  Using Adobe Soundbooth, I have tried converting them to both mp3 and WAV files, in both stereo & mono, at 32Kbps.  I'm not really sure what else to do.

I don't know if you use Vista 64-bit but I had the exact same problem. I couldn't import audio at all. After I downloaded the latest patch from Adobe (Captivate help menu - Updates) then it worked fine.

I'm running XP.  I tried installing the patch and it said that I already had the updated version.  Thanks though

I figured it out, the issue was in the name of the files.  The player automatically put symbols in the name causing it not to run in captivate.
