Trouble reporting to LMS

Having trouble getting latest version captivate 9 course to send quiz results to LMS. The LMS requires user to click a button in the wrapper to "save and close." Going into the LMS dashboard the course remains "in progress." only after re-opening course and closing again do we see an "awarded" result. So for some reason it requires opening and closing to work. I don't know what else i can do on the course to avoid this. there's a "continue" button on Results page that gets clicked and goes to a Thank you page at the end. No matter how long user sits on this last page it still does not record to LMS on first try (again, only after reopening and closing. Thanks for any input here.
