Trouble with "Fill in the Blank" questions not able to populate in LMS

Hello! I am testing some interactive elements on an LMS and for some reason, questions that require a "Fill in the Blank" option will not allow me to type in an answer.

NOTE: this is not a drop-down fill in the blank. This is a free response/type out your answer.

Please advise! Thanks!

May I recommend to skip the FIB type of question for such a goal? You talk about 'free answer', does that mean you do not need to validate the answer nor to report it? Replace it by a Text Entry Box (can be validated and reported) or a Scrolling Text interaction.
