Trouble with Viewing Text Captions

When I start to add timing elements or entrance animation to text captions, it does not translate to the published view. The slide works just like I want it to when I simply click on the bottom preview where the timeline is, but once I click on preview or preview in browser, the text captions fail to appear. I do not have the visibility buttons clicked and I have even started all over and re-created the slide just because I was getting frustrated. There's one slide in particular. There are 3 captions. The first one works just fine and the rest do not appear. I copied the first one to see if that works and still nothing appears. Any suggestions? Any special setting on the slides? It has happened with other objects as well. The most frustrating part is that it worked at the beginning of the project. Now that I am near the end to publish, these nuisances have started to show up. File size a factor?

Can you please post a screenshot of the Timeline? The Play Slide option, although it appears under the button Preview, is not a Preview method at all, it is only meant to be used to synchronize on the timeline. If you cannot see the expected result with the Preview in Browser, that means something is blocking the timeline, probably a pausing point of an interactive object.

This is a slide I am having difficulty with. The second and third caption boxes do not show up where I have it timed when I go to publish it. The timing properties box for the second caption box is shown.

There is only part of the timeline visible, both horizontally and vertically. But luckily I see already one cause of the problems

You have inserted an interactive object (green timeline) Button_...  which is pausing the slide at the end of its timeline. That is a pausing point and everything scheduled to come in later will not appear in Preview or after publishing. What is the goal of that button? Maybe the interactive movie in this blog post could help explaining:

Tell me what that button is supposed to do, and why it is scheduled to disappear quickly. Maybe you have even more interactive objects on that timeline, but that is the only one visible in the part that you showed me.
