Trying to figure things out

Where do I obtain the screen shots? I want to make training videos of our software but don't know how to get them into Captivate. Is there another software I have to use to get the screen shots of our showing how to use the software?

    Hi Ann and welcome to our community

    Captivate records them for you. Basically, the workflow is like this:

    Open your application you wish to record
    Start Captivate
    Click File > Record/Create > New Project
    Choose the project type and set options
    Click the Record button
    Perform the steps you wish to demonstrate
    Tell Captivate you want to end recording
    Edit what you recorded!
