Trying to skip success slide on quiz failure

I have a quiz at the end of a project and I want to end the project on quiz failure.  However, even though I selected Jump to slide in Quiz preferences on failure, the project goes from the results slide to the next slide which is the success slide.  How can I make the project skip to the end on quiz failure?

I guess my problem is I cannot get the project to navigate based on my pass/fail preferences.  I selected show score at the end of quiz in the pass/fail preferences.  I am not sure I understand the end of quiz navigation.  If I set it to jump to a slide based on pass or failure is it supposed to jump after the score results slide?

To be able to answer your question I'd want to have some specifications:

  • which version of CP do you use?
  • are you using a LMS?
  • how did you test the workflow you described: after publishing of in Review?

I am using CP4.

No LMS.  Just playing back the published flash file.  I'm trying to get to sequence right before I try to upload to an LMS.

Does anyone know at which point do the quiz pass/fail navigation preferences come into effect?  If I select jump to slide XX on fail, after which slide will it jump to slide XX?  This is the sequence I am trying to obtain:

Preferences were: on fail jump to failure slide, on pass jump to success slide

Last question slide - this is  random question slide that pulls from a pool

Results slide

Failure slide - I want this slide displayed on failure and then close project.

Success slide - I want this slide displayed on passing and then close project.

I tried moving the results slide as follows:

Last question slide - if pass jump to results slide

Failure slide - close

Results slide

Success slide - close

Using this sequence, I got it to perform fine on failure.  However, on pass the results slide is displayed and then the results slide hangs and does not continue to the success slide.

Is there any such sequence someone is using that is working for them?
