hi! I am uploading a .swf to my website, and I don't want it to start as the pages loads. My other problem is that the narration is a background sound, and i want to be able to start when the user allows it to. HELP!

thank you for your help, first time user. Basically my movie is just fading between images and screenshots. The narration needs to continue over that.

    Welcome to our community, Josh

If you are using Captivate 3 or earlier, you need to insert a Click Box or Button object on the first slide to ensure it is paused until your user clicks to play.

If you are using Captivate 4, it offers a new option to simply load the movie in a paused state. To see this option, click Edit > Preferences... > Project node > Start and End node. The option is labeled "Auto Play" and is a check box.

    Hello again

Just picked up on the second bit. Background is a horrible place to place narration. If you are narrating, it should be at the slide or object level.

I would never use or recommend using the Background audio for narration.

    Cheers... Rick
