Turn off Closed captions?

Each time I am about to edit my project audio file I get an annoying popup warning me that all closed captions will be removed, Is ther e a way to turn off or disable the closed caption feature?

    Closed Captions are enabled or disabled via Project >  Skin Editor > Closed Captioning checkbox.

    This will also remove the CC button from your playback bar.

    Thx for the answer but no, it does not help. I have a comp

    uter where the check box Closed Caption is not ticked at all and the popup a

    ppears anyway. Then I have a computer where it actually was ticked. Untic

    king it did not change anything.

    Try going to Preferences > Global > General Settings and click the button for Confirmation Messages:

    Untick anything related to audio and see if that helps get rid of the annoying messages.
