Unable to Adcquire LMS API Error When Publishing AICC

Hi,

I published a Captivate 6 course in AICC and uploaded it to my LMS (Plateau). When other members of the team launch the content from the LMS, they get an error message stating "Error - unable to acquire LMS API, content may not play properly and results may not be recorded." They can still go through the entire course, however, their scores are not reported to the LMS. I, myself, go in and go through the course and do not get the error, and have the results reported.

Any insight as to what is causing this and a solution would be very much appreciated!

Sounds like a browser issue.  Are you all on the same make and model of browser?  If so, are you all using the same settings?

My guess would be that their browsers are blocking the API connection.  Check if they have popup blockers turned on or if they have toolbars (e.g. Google) that also have built in popup blockers or extra security.

Try having the same person log into their own PC under a different profile and see if they experience the same error.  If they don't, then the issue may be something related to their user profile and it may need to be rebuilt by IT.  If they still get the same error, get them to log onto a DIFFERENT PC using their own login profile and see if they get the same result.  If they don't, then the issue is something on the PC and it may need to be re-imaged.
