Unable to add silence in Captive 9 on Windows 10

Question

I'm trying to add silence to an audio recording in Captivate 9 on a Windows 10 laptop.  At work I'm on Captivate 9 on a Windows 7 desktop and can add silence without issue.  Performing the exact same steps ie. select a section, click Silence, in both versions of Windows.  7 works fine and nothing happens in 10.  Any ideas?

I had this issue too. I just opted to try a second time and instead of selecting insert at end, i manually selected where to place silence. It worked. I cant believe Adobe has all these weird little glitches. I thought they would have a more solid product.
