Unable to Publish to Youtube

Hi there,

I am trying to upload some of my Captivate projects to Youtube, however I have been unable to do so. When I click 'Publish to Youtube' it goes through the motions of compressing SWF to Video, however after this I'm left with a blank screen that looks like this:

I have waiting for it to load but nothing ever happens. The project is non-responsive, and I have tried with a completely blank project as well - to no avail. This makes me think it's something to do with my Captivate preferences but I'm unsure. I've also tried disabling my pop up blocker.

If you have any ideas I would greatly appreciate the help.

Thank you!

Hi!

I am having this same issue.

I have Captivate 2017 and Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.4.

Can someone please tell me if there is a patch or a workaround so I can publish my videos to YouTube?

Thanks so much for your help!

Kristin

Do you use 10.0.1.285? If you are still on the first release, please install the patch (Help, Updates)!

Hi Paul,

Thanks for this - it is High Sierra indeed. I updated before I knew it wasn't compatible - do you think there is a patch?

Thanks!

There might be. I'm a Windows guy so I don't really follow the Mac stuff. Perhaps Shambu Nashi can check that out for us and let us know.

What version of Mac OS are you running (should have asked this before)? Captivate isn't compatible with High Sierra. There might be a patch available if that's the case.

If that doesn't apply to you may wish to try resetting your preferences. Exit Captivate. Navigate to

/Applications/Adobe Captivate 9/utils/

and run CleanPreferencesMac

Try again.
