Unable to "Run as Administrator"

Question

I work at a large corporation and we are very locked down by our IT and unable to run Captivate as Administrator. All of the responses in regards to video/sofware simulation mention that this is required. Is there no other work around to improve the screen capture experience (and decrease the freezing)?

One of the challenges of working in a corporate environment is that the location of User folders on your computer are often network shares. This method of storing files is an excellent solution in case your computer gets messed, and you don't want to lose your data. Unfortunately, this is a problem for Adobe Captivate. Captivate very quickly writes to these folders and sometimes your network and Captivate can't keep up with one another. The result is that Captivate often crashes because of this.

See if your IT department can set local-only folders on your computer for your project cache, and your Video Demo Working Folder. You can change the folder these are pointing to in

Preferences > General Settings, and

Preferences > Recording > Video Demo
