Undo Align Horizontally or Vertical

Whenever I choose to align an object in Captivate 9 to either the horizontal or vertical access, I can't seem to undo the alignment, the tick against this feature will not disappear. I can't see any logical menu item to reverse so I just delete and start over, surely this can't be the right solution.

Any ideas?

I had the same problem and it took me a while to figure it out.

Go to Properties -->Position --> Advanced (click on) and then uncheck the boxes that say "Align center horizontally" or "Align center vertically" or both.

Moderator: Position Properties panel is only available for responsive projects. This solution is not working for normal (blank) projects because that option is not in the Options tab of the Properties panel. Size and location of objects are in that Options tab.

@Russell...  Which version are you talking about?

Hmmm, Properties panel has no Position part in CP8 or CP9 for normal projects,

Position Properties panel exists for Responsive projects only. The OP didn't specify which project he is talking about. In the Position Properties you can uncheck the alignments on the slide, that is correct.

Yes, good catch! I was working with Responsive Design and that is where positioning is. I checked with another project (regular) and I couldn't find this either.

Are you talking about aligning objects relative to each other, or about centering one object on the slide, vertically or horizontally?

Please, which version do you use (complete version number please)?

Are you talking about a normal or a responsive project? For a responsive project you can uncheck the Alignment in the Position Properties panel. For normal projects that panel is not available.

Did you try CTRL-Z (Undo)?

Yes Undo works but once you move forward and make further edits, then Undo doesn't work. There should be a logical way to reverse and one would think it would be to untick the the feature.
