Undock Speech Management

There are many parts of Captivate that i can "peel-off" and undock.

Does anyone know a way to undock Speech Management and edit the script while listening/previewing the audio that has already been generated? This would save me a ton of time. I realized probably have to dock again and generate the audio, but just a way to listen and edit simultaneously would be so valuable (it takes so long to wait for that speech management window to open, scroll thru and then for me to find slide "X" out of 101).

Time is money ... and I am wasting a lot trying to edit my speech management.

I don't think that is possible. Since CP8 switch of UI customisability got down a lot which made me very sad.

What is exactly your work flow? For TTS I always use slide notes. You can undock the slide notes, and the filmstirp. Navigating to another slide is then much easier.

We are using a lot of VTML to make Julie sound more "human."  In many cases this means I play a slide, listening for where her pronunciation, inflection and timing are off.  A great example is when Julie is going to read a "list" of items, like this excerpt:

    The Header File opens. <vtml_break level="2"/>   The Professional Services <vtml_break level="1"/>   Claims <vtml_break level="1"/>   Header File <vtml_break level="2"/> contains four informational sections: <vtml_break level="2"/>  service date, <vtml_break level="2"/>   member, <vtml_break level="2"/>  provider, <vtml_break level="2"/> and claim.

Often, I won't know until I listen to Julie, how long certain breaks need to be (although I am getting better with practice.  It would be great to have a way to listen and edit the script at the same time. For now I am using a word document and updating that while I listen to each audio chunk.

You have all audio clips in the Library as well.
