'Unresponsive script' message

Hi,

when I click through my e-learning (created with Captivate) I receive after some slides the Firefox message "Warning: Unresponsive script - A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete."

A similar message appears when I use IE or Chrome.

After that the move from one slide to the next takes several seconds.

Any idea what's going wrong?

I tried it. It was a really good idea!

I guess the problem is the following slide.

Before the trouble-slide had been directly before a Drag and Drop slide.

After moving the trouble-slide to another place it caused no problem.

Then the problem was caused by the slide which is currently before the Drag and Drop slide.

I didn't recognize before, that the issue is caused by clicking on the button next.

So I deleted the the Drag and Drop interaction and tried it again.

As a result the issue was on the start slide. What's that??????

I removed the Drag and Drop interaction and the issue now is on the same place as it was before.

Indeed, that was my suspicion since a while, that the problem was caused by another slide. This looks now really like a corrupted project.

Which version do you use, please? Firefox was not supported with Captivate 8, it is with Captivate 9.

I use Captivate 9. I tried to let the script run longer. The problem is still there.

Does it still do this if you upload your content to a web server and then play it from there in the same web browsers?

If not, then I would say your issue is connected with security restrictions in those browsers that kick in when playing content locally.
