Unwanted border in Web Object

Whenever I use the new Web Object in Captivate 7 I get a grey border on the bottom and right side. And I have the Border option unchecked. I've tried re-sizing the either Web Object or the web page I'm loading, but that doesn't help. Is there a fix or work-around for this?

Also, when I play this on an iPad the border thickens up. Sveral pixels wide.

Thanks.

Hi,

The Border issues is fixed. Please Connect to Internet and relaunch Captivate. The WebObject interaction should get automatically updated.

And on IPAD, scrolling inside an Iframe is not possible. This is not supported by IPAD browser.

Please let us know if the above update works for you.

Thanks,

Pavan

Thank you very much for working on this. However, I noticed if you load a web page of a specific size the Web Object cuts off 10 pixels off the bottom and 10 pixels off the right side.

The reason this matters to me is that I am trying to get a video to play on an iPad that has it's own video control bar. I'm doing this by loading a video into an Edge Animate project the exact size of the video. Then I publish the Edge Animate project with Web selected as the target. I then load that HTML file into Captivate's Web Object. I did notice that if I make the Web Object 10 pixels larger than I need the whole web page will be visible. What seems to be happening (according to my measurements of screenshots) is that the Web Object displays 10 pixels smaller on a side within Safari than what was originally specified in the Web Objects Width and Height properties.

Can you add a screenshot of your slide shoring the web objet and its properties as well as output where you find the border appearing?

Thanks,

Hi,

Here are a couple screenshots showing the web object in Captivate 7 and also the output on an iPad 2. The grey borders also show up when "Scrolling" is selected in the web object properties. The borders always appear no matter what website is called within the web object, or, whatever size I make the web object itself. By the way, the borders are the same dimension as I specified for the web object size (550x400 in this case), although the website shows up smaller than that.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

Looking at the screenshot, more than the borders of Widget, I believe these are a part of the Skin.

Can you go to -- Project -- Skin Editor--- Borders and deselect all the borders from the list.

Republish and verify the results?

Thanks,

Anjaneai
