I have downloaded this three times and keep receiving the error of Update Failed. Please contact your Administrator if you wish to apply updates on your machine. Updates have been suppressed by the Administrator. I have contacted my IT department and there is no issue with the computer. I have also updated the Application manager. Any solutions?

    Hi There,

    To resolve this kindly follow the below steps:

    1. Close Captivate and all Adobe Applications.
    2. Go to : C:\Program Files (x86)\CommonFiles\Adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory\1.0
    3. Copy “AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat” file to your desktop.
    4. Open it on a notepad from your desktop.
    5. change the value in Suppressed tag to be 0 from 1. It should as below

    <?xml     version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

    <Preferences>

    <Suppressed>0</Suppressed>

    </Preferences>

    1. Save it and replace it back with the original file.
    2. Launch Captivate 9 again and you should be able to update it.

    Regards,

    Mayank

    Thet latest version is not the one you mention but 9.0.2.437. You do need Adminstrator rights to be able to install anything, is that the case?

    I have admin rights on my computer to download programs. I also tried that version too and get the same error.
