Upgrade Captivate 8 to 9?

Hey Folks,

I got myself a key to upgrade from captivate 8 to captivate 9 (mac).

Can i simply upgrade the software?

Where do i put the key?

Or do i download captivate 9, remove 8 and then register the key?

    You'll likely want to run them both for a time, you should definitely archive any projects build with Cp8 prior to opening in Cp9. Once the projects are opened, and saved, from Cp9 there is no going back.

    For active projects, be sure to maintain working files in the Cp8 format.

    Are you registering via a traditional application or subscription?

    It is an 'upgrade' with a 'key', which means it is a regular license, not a subscription. I'm not sure you can use an update license and keep the previous version as well. That is possible for subscription licenses, indeed.
