Urgent question about Templates on Captivate 8

Is there a way to tell if a Captivate 8 file was created using a template after the unused library items were deleted?

Thanks

I stand corrected. Although my employer did use the term "template" it probably was a theme.

They had certain standards for questions and input boxes as well as boxes in the Object Style Manager.

So my question should have been, if I copy something from one file with a theme and object settings, will those settings be carried over into a raw file if I don't set the theme.

You have to apply that theme. Be sure to save the theme from the original project, in a location that can be remembered. Now you can apply it to any project, even with a different resolution if the theme has been set up correctly (master slides are important) and ou are talking about the same type of project: responsive or not.

I don't understand your question really.  What is the link between deleting unused items and the fact that a file could have been created from a cptl-file? I totally agree with Rod, never use templates myself because consistency in design can be achieved by using a theme which is also much more flexible.

I want to add that many users, eLearning Brothers included, do label some cptx-files as templates, or themes as templates. There is a lot of confusion about terminology.

Not as far as I am aware.

Avoid using the CPTL template file format at all cost.  It's got problems.
