URL Link Won't Open in Published File CP8

Here are my specs:

CP8

Publish as .swf

Have click box element with either the open URL or Execute JavaScript option.

URL is set to open in new window.

Both files are in the same folder w/in a web server.

When published, nothing happens. I can click (I hear the click noise) but no other page opens.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I just ran into this!

I had previewed the file, click the link and opened a new window from the Cp project.

Then, I uploaded to the LMS, and tested the same file, it appeared the button did not work.

But, when I realized that I already had a window open to the url of the attached file and closed it, the button worked fine!

Check that you don't already have a window open with the target url in the same browser!

This wasn't the scenario for me. I'm not even putting I ton an LMS and the destination URL isn't already open. We are using IE and Chrome. A coworker got the links to open in Firefox - so perhaps I need special js code to allow popups or something?

Popup Blockers!  That could be the issue.  Check your browser settings.
