Using On Exit

I have a regular slide which tests the use of a mouse Drag and Drop to test object movement.

There is also an exit button if the user wishes to move on in the tutorial.

My question is:

If a learner gets frustrated and clicks the Exit button can Captivate communicate with the LMS if this exercise is not set up as a quiz questions?

Can this content be on a quiz question and clicking the Exit button be considered a failure?

Does Captivate only communicate to the LMS through quiz questions?
