Using Slide Views instead of quizzes in CP9

We are about to do a series of projects where the customer wants the students to be required to view a certain number or % of the projects slides to get credit.  Is it better to set the slide views at 50% or if the project had 100 slides set it to 50 slides?

If the student doesn't let the slide play to the end does it still count as viewed?

    It depends also nn the LMS and the SCORM version you use. To my experience % is often a better way than an absolute number. Qhen a slide is marked in the TOC it is considered to be viewed, but again, not every LMS will act the same way.

    Is there a reason why not all slides have to be visited? A possible alternative could be to have on e scored object like a button, which the learner can only press when a certain number of slides has been visited, require a score that is equal to the score of that object.

    Both option should work similar for 100 slides project.

    Although, if user skips the slide using playbar and won't let it play till end, it should still be marked as completed. In this case you may hide the playbar and use custom buttons to go to next slide. You can adjust the next button timing in a way that it will only appear just before the slide ends.
