Using the 'Review area' to view correct answers

Hi,

I have to use multiple types of quizzes throughout my project - such as match the following, short answer etc.

I want to display the correct answer after each slide - is this possible in Captivate 4 and if yes, how?

Hello,

Normally the Review area will show the correct answer, in case the user answered incorrectly. But the message is a standardized message, you change the sentence a little bit, but the way to show the correct answer is by showing the number (or character) for that correct message.

Customising Review is possible, blogged about it (for CP5; but since you have also advanced actions, will be possible in CP4 as well). Have a look if this is answering your question:

Thanks for the info.

However, when I run a slide, the review area does not show the correct answer - rather it is left blank.

Similarly, in case of matching or hotspot type quizzes, I want that after a user submits his/her answer, captivate should display the correct answer.

Is this possible?

Hello,

Perhaps you deleted the Review message or changed it so that the default - see screenshot - disappeared. I hope Review is set up in the Quiz settings: you have to activate to show the score, then you'll have the Review button, and this kind of messages should appear. Will be a little bit different in CP4, but you should find those messages there as well.
