V8 crashes on software simulation

Hi,

I am using Adobe Captivate V8.01.1.242.  However every time i do a software simulation it crashes.  I can use it if i choose manual and only do a few clicks then it lets me save.  It used to let me do this but for some reason it has stopped.  I have tried everything i have cleared my cache i have changed my setting to run as an administrator nothing seems to work.  Any advice?

    You are not using the latest version, which is 8.0.3. Can you try to upgrade?

    Yes we are looking to upgrade possibly even to version 9 but this might be a while off.  What i don't understand is my colleagues have the same version as me but do not have the same issues.

    I'm not sure at all that it is the reason. You have to Run as Administrator, certainly for software sims.

    You didn't mention if you tried to clear the Preferences? I hope everything is on your system not on a networked drive, including Cache files and project files?
