Values of Variables Showing up Blurry if on Master Slide...

Has anyone noticed that when you place a variable with a value on a master slide that it shows up blurry when you publish or preview it?

If you place the variable on the Filmstrip, it's not blurry.

Is there a way to fix this or is this a CP8 bug?
